Sagemodern Review
Sagemodern is San Francisco based designer and architect of high-end, custom prefab and modular homes. While they do not manufacture the homes themselves but rather use a network of manufacturers, they are involved in all stages of the project including site evaluation, design, permitting, and working with a local contractor on the installation and build phase of the project. Because Sagemodern only creates custom designs, buyers can tailor the house to their exact specifications including size, finishes, and even environmental friendliness. Sagemodern specializes in green building techniques and as such can tailor designs to meet third party green rating requirements i.e. LEED, Energy Star, National Green Building Certification.
The designs from Sagemodern are markedly upscale and modern. Recurring elements in their designs include wood facades, dark metal, and stone highlights. As previously mentioned, Sagemodern doesn’t manufacture the homes themselves choosing instead to draw on a network of quality prefab manufacturers such as Method Homes and Plant Prefab. Because homes are truly custom, there are no restrictions on home size or added layout features.
