Avrame USA is the American branch of the European kit home builder, Avrame. Avrame USA specializes in building A-frame home kits which can be delivered throughout the entirety of the United States. As kit homes, they are delivered to the site essentially as a set of pre-cut pieces that need to be assembled and attached to the foundation. Buyers with a background in construction and a DIY attitude can even assemble the homes themselves - which would represent a significant cost saving opportunity. Cost estimates for a self-assembled and finished home start as low as $300 per square foot and can go as high as $595+ per square foot for a contractor assembled and finished home. Because a large amount of work is finished on-site and to individual preferences, there can be significant variations in project cost from one situation to the next.
Homes are offered in sizes ranging from 140 sqft, single room units, to 1,600 sqft, multi-bedroom homes. Buyers also have the option to select the level of included materials in their kit. This allows buyers to get a kit ranging from just the structural components up to a kit home that is only missing finishing touches such as appliances, furniture and cabinetry. While they are unable to change the truss system for their homes, they are able to customize many other aspects of their project such as floor plans, windows and doors, and even add-ons like fireplaces and decks.
