Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses Review

Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses is a designer and builder of prefab tiny homes based in Durango, Colorado. They offer over 40 models of tiny homes, with lengths ranging from 12' to 34'. All their tiny homes are fully customizable. While Rock Mountain Tiny Houses is not currently accepting new orders, they plan to resume new builds in Spring 2021. In terms of design, models feature a modern take on the rustic cabin style, with glass doors, slanted metal roofs, plus a mix of cedar boards and corrugated metal siding. The interior also has a rustic look, usually including handscraped flooring, barnwood accent walls, lots or loft space, and barnwood shelving. Their tiny homes usually come complete with a stainless steel sink, propane or electric heat, A/C, and optional upgrades such as solar, LED lighting, and washing machines. Many of their models also have off-grid capabilities, with propane cooktops, wood stoves, dry baths, and compostable toilets. For buyers seeking a DIY project or greater customization options, Rocky Mountain’s homes can be purchased as structural shells only.

Rocky Mountain only builds homes on wheels, with no permanent or semi-permanent foundations available. Once the design and construction agreements are finalized, Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses orders the trailer, windows, doors, roofing, and other long lead time items. Once completed, tiny homes from Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses are shipped turn-key. They can deliver the home themselves within a 400 mile radius of Durango, CO. Buyers further away can meet them halfway or work with an independent freight company.
