Oasys is a designer and builder of prefab ADUs based in Los Angeles, California. They offer 5 styles of ADUs, with pre-designed floor plans ranging from 400 square feet to 1,200 square feet. Oasys is an offshoot of the LA design company StereoBot, meaning Oasys builds with the same system of triangular, interlocking truss supports with customizable panels (space-frame tech) found in StereoBot’s large public venues. This unique SmartFrame building style gives their ADUs a sleek modern look and allows them to build ADUs in a period of weeks. Other design features include 12’ high ceilings, 8’ tall windows, private porches, and open-plan interiors. Limited customization options like live-in walls, porch space, and alternative trims are also available. Additionally, Oasys offers fixed, up-front pricing that eliminates the risk of cost overruns and starts at $290 per square foot.
Oasys offers end-to-end services, meaning they handle all design, manufacturing, permitting, delivery, installation, and site work. The process begins with a 2-week discovery phase, where the ADU is designed in relation to the lot and renders are produced for customer review. Next, Oasys assists customers with the permitting and documentation process. Once permits are issued, all components are manufactured in their factory all while the building site is prepared for delivery, including utility hookups. The ADU’s components are then delivered and assembled on-site. All on-site work can be finished in under 4 weeks with no crane required.
