Luckdrops Review

Luckdrops is a recent entrant to the prefab home industry, starting by offering one model of shipping container home studios in 2018. Their only home model is constructed using a 40 foot shipping container and offers buyers 287 feet of internal living space. The home is delivered complete with finishes such as cabinets, hardware and most appliances. Buyers have the option to personalize certain finishes such as tile and flooring colors as well as interior and exterior wall colors. Additionally, buyers can opt for additional upgrades such as space saving furniture and solar panels.

It can take from 3-6 months from the time of purchase until the home arrives on site. Depending on your location however, this time can vary slightly as Luckdrops delivers worldwide. As such, buyers located more distant from their New Mexico based headquarters can expect longer delivery times.

Strengths:

  • Offer shipping container homes with a high degree of finish at a competitive price point

  • Homes can be shipped to most locations throughout the world

Reasons they may not be for you:

  • You are looking for flexibility in your home design

  • You want a home larger than a single shipping container

  • You are looking for a company with a longer operating history
