Precision Craft is a prefab home company that specializes in timber frame and log homes. Precision Craft is based in Meridian, Idaho though they work with customers throughout the U.S. and even worldwide thanks to a network of builders and service representatives. They offer multiple styles of pre-engineered homes in addition to custom home designs which come from their in-house design partners - M.T.N. Design. Homes from Precision Craft can feature one or a mix of construction styles including, timber frame, log homes, and structural insulated panels (SIPs). There are cost differences between these methods however, with a combination timber frame-SIPs home being the cheapest and a handcrafted log home being the most expensive. These techniques allow for the construction of high-end, aesthetically pleasing homes that also feature energy efficient construction techniques. As such, Precision Craft and M.T.N. Design note that they can design and manufacture homes that meet LEED certification standards.
From a design standpoint, Precision Craft offers pre-engineered floor plans that range from cabin refined to modern and french country to rustic luxury. It is to be noted however, that all of these designs feature a significant use of timber and logs in both facades and interior of their homes. Precision Craft and M.T.N Design can also work with buyers to either modify one of their existing floor plans or design a completely custom log or timber frame home. When it comes to the actual construction of the home buyers have three options; use their own contractor, use a contractor from Precision Craft’s network of builders, or in some cases, use Precision Craft as both the manufacturer and general contractor.
